Tips for choosing
- Use an inside joke. A name only your friends understand is part of the fun.
- Think about where you'll use it: a group chat name can be silly, matching shirts need something everyone's proud of.
- Keep it short enough to fit on a phone screen without being cut off.
Common questions
What's a good name for a friend group?
Short, a little playful and personal to your group. Inside jokes, a shared hobby or where you met all make great starting points.
Can we use the same name for our group chat?
Yes. Most friend groups use one name everywhere, from the chat to trip shirts.
How do we choose a name together?
Shortlist a few favorites, copy them into your group chat and let everyone react. The most-liked name wins.
